When traveling to Fiji, it may be best to avoid the rainy season. This is December through February. There are greater chances of typhoons and the weather tends to be hottest.
Bora Bora
Bora Bora is beautiful tropical island. Many people go there for the snorkeling adventure. There are also many guided tours that you may take to experience the local wildlife. You may also wish to take a boat tour, while there. A must see, is the lagoon in Bora Bora. The warm environment is good for jet skis as well as swimming. Wind surfing and scuba diving are among other activities to check out.
You may want to take a private tour of the lagoon or maybe a sunset cruise. There are glass bottom boats and bus tours for the adventurous. Perhaps you enjoy deep sea fishing or para-sailing. These are only a few of the water sports to enjoy.
There are also many activities on land, like camping or hiking. You may desire to take a four by four safari or go horseback riding. There are also sports like volleyball and tennis for your enjoyment.
The tourist season is from May through October. This is when the weather is best. However, the wet season may offer much cheaper vacation deals. It is warmer and more humid during this season yet, it may not matter as much for some types of water sports. This may afford the best privacy, too.
The British Virgin Island of Long Bay
The British Virgin Island of Long Bay may be one of the best kept secrets for out of the way vacation spots. It is not easy to get to this secluded area. You have to travel a steep road with rugged terrain or enter by boat. It has lovely white sand beaches that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. There is a large variety of local birds to enjoy, also. You may be able to enjoy this area in complete privacy, at times. There are never any crowds of tourists.
You might be looking for an out of the way place to vacation. Fiji may be a very good choice, as it has lovely beaches and a laid back atmosphere. Bora Bora is another good choice. It has a large selection of water and land activities to choose from. A well kept secret is the British Virgin Island of Long Bay. It is not easy to access and is not well-known. Its beautiful beaches may afford total privacy at times. It may be the best of the secluded getaways.
